Raising money for a good cause!

LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic likes to give back, and get active while we are doing it!

This past weekend, a group of about 50 staff and members from our two original clinics in White Rock and South Surrey participated in the 11th annual Great Pumpkin Walk Run in White Rock to raise money for the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.

This year, Team LIVE WELL raised $6,075 beating our goal of $5,000! This was the fifth year that LIVE WELL has participated in the Walk/Run, and it’s always a fun event.

One of our members, Darlene (in the purple T-shirt above), signed up with a friend and was a bit nervous that she would not be able to finish the 5 km walk. Darlene, 56, attends our South Surrey Clinic. With the support of other LIVE WELL members and staff (in the pumpkin costumes) Darlene pushed herself to finish the walk in only 1 hour and 15 minutes. Her entire group was singing as they crossed the finish line and she was very proud of her accomplishment. Way to go Darlene, we are very proud of you too!
