Meet Sue, owner of LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic Guildford:
A LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic is a space where members are safe and successful. I know because I am a member. The bubbles displayed on the walls of all LIVE WELL Clinics tell our stories. On my first day as a member, one gentleman posted his bubble and declared: “My wedding ring fits again.” This melted all of the female hearts within hearing distance. We do our exercises, listen to inspiring quotes, receive education on health and work hard to create a bubble that tells our health story. I have found LIVE WELL members to be courageous and purposeful. Most have had disappointments, frustrations, and failures along their health journey but at LIVE WELL they thrive in an environment of acceptance and fun, especially on Dance Days! LIVE WELL is a great place to make a difference. And to quote another member, “Where do they find such wonderful staff?”
I have been a healthcare professional in the diagnostic field for over 30 years. Working as a team member in Diagnostic Imaging was very rewarding. I have known about LIVE WELL for years now and was constantly amazed when hearing about members’ achievements. Now I will be part of the LIVE WELL team – which means I will have the privilege of witnessing the transformations of members who are working to improve their health and lifestyle. I am very excited about opening the LIVE WELL doors to new members and encouraging them in exercise while filling the walls with their “joyful” accomplishments.
I LIVE WELL by laughing at every opportunity! Plus, on vacation I like to hike, snorkel and read.
I like to sing Happy Birthday to my grandchildren opera style. Sometimes I throw in a little ballet to elevate their cultural exposure. Recently I dragged my two oldest grandchildren to the Vancouver Symphony and their favourite part was the ice cream on Cambie Street afterwards. But one of my favourite roles in life is to be their Tickle Monster, who appears when there is a hormonal imbalance. So ladies, when you are having one of those hot flashes, try redirecting your energy into being a goofball.
